ecstatic Dance
as Embodied Emotional Expression
A guided movement experience for reconnecting
with your body, intuition, and inner truth.
This is not just a dance class.
This is a guided ecstatic dance container designed to help you come home to your body, feel what is present, and allow your inner experience to move through you without needing to explain, perform, or make it look a certain way.
Through music, rhythm, breath, meditation, and intuitive movement, I guide participants into a deeper state of embodiment, where the body can express what words often cannot.
This is a space for release, regulation, self-trust, and radical self-acceptance.
MY APPROACH
Many ecstatic dance experiences are built around
the music journey: the DJ set, the sound arc, the rise and fall of energy.
My work is different.
I focus on helping people understand
how to enter the experience of embodiment.
I guide you to:
- Connect with your body before you move
- Notice what emotions, sensations are present
- Build rhythm
- Sync your body with the beat
- Enter flow state
- Allow intuitive movement to emerge
- Express what wants to move through
- Return to the breath, stillness and integration
The music matters, but the music
is not the whole container.
The real practice
is learning to listen to the body.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION
Each session is held as a two-hour guided container.
We begin by arriving, grounding, and setting an intention. You may come in with something specific to process, or you may simply arrive open to whatever wants to be expressed.
From there, I guide you inward
through meditation, breath, and body awareness.
As the music begins, we build slowly. You are invited to find rhythm, connect with the beat, and let your body begin to move in whatever way feels true.
As the energy rises, the body often begins to open.
Movement may become bigger, stranger, softer, sharper, heavier, freer, or more emotional.
You may shake.
You may cry.
You may laugh.
You may stomp.
You may move with anger, joy, grief, frustration,
relief, sensuality, playfulness, or
emotions that have no clear name.
Nothing needs to look beautiful.
Nothing needs to make sense.
The invitation is to let the body translate
what it is feeling into movement.
THE METHOD
My methodology is rooted in a simple
but powerful sequence:
Arrive → Tune In → Find Rhythm → Build Energy
→ Enter Flow → Express → Release → Integrate → Repeat
The key moment is when the body begins to sync
with the music.
When rhythm takes over, the thinking mind can soften.
The body enters flow.
A trance-like state can emerge.
In that state, movement becomes
less controlled and more intuitive.
This is where deeper expression often happens.
The body knows what needs to move.
My role is to guide the room safely into that process, support the emotional and energetic arc, and help participants return to breath, grounding, and integration.
RADICAL SELF-ACCEPTANCE
So much of life teaches us to
suppress what we feel.
- Be appropriate.
- Stay composed.
- Don't be too much.
- Don't make others uncomfortable.
- Don't express anger.
- Don't fall apart.
- Don't take up space.
In this container, the rules are different.
- You are allowed to feel
- You are allowed to move strangely
-
You are allowed to express emotion
without turning it into a story - You are allowed to be witnessed without being fixed
-
You are allowed to discover
what your body has been holding
This is a practice of giving yourself full permission
to exist as you are.
WHY I TEACH THIS
I came to this work through lived experience.
After a spontaneous awakening, I began feeling energy, sound, emotion, and intuition in my body in ways I had never experienced before.
My body seemed to know what to do
before my mind understood it.
→ It knew how to move with music.
→ It knew how to enter rhythm.
→ It knew how to release emotion through movement.
→ It knew how to access trance, intuition, and expression.
Over time, I began to understand that
what I was experiencing was not random.
It was ancient.
Humans have used rhythm, movement, trance,
and dance for healing, expression, guidance,
and connection for as long as we
have gathered in community.
My work is about bringing that wisdom into a grounded, accessible, trauma-aware space where people can reconnect with the intelligence
of their own bodies.
WHO THIS IS FOR
This experience may be for you if:
- You want to feel more connected to your body
- You process emotion physically
-
You feel stuck, heavy, restless, or
emotionally backed up - You struggle to express what you feel through words
- You are curious about intuitive movement
- You want to practice self-trust and self-acceptance
-
You are drawn to embodiment, nervous system work,
breathwork or somatic movement - You want a space where you do not have to perform, explain or 'be good' at anything
INTEGRATION
At the end of each session,
we return to the ground.
We breathe.
We invite the sound bath to wash over us.
We are guided back through meditation.
We listen.
We twitch, melt, let go.
We let the body settle.
There is also an optional opportunity to share what moved through, what was discovered, or
what wants to feel seen.
Sharing is never required.
The integration is part of the practice.
Because the goal is not just to release.
The goal is to learn how to be with yourself
and others more honestly.
WHY WORK WITH ME
Most people are not disconnected from their body because they lack awareness.
They are disconnected because they don’t feel safe to feel what’s actually there.
They override.
They suppress.
They perform.
They stay in their head.
And over time, they lose access to their natural ability to feel, express, and release.
My work is about helping you rebuild that connection.
To your body.
To your intuition.
To your ability to move what you’re carrying.
HOW I WORK
Group Experiences
I facilitate guided ecstatic dance and embodied movement containers for:
→ Retreats
→ Workshops
→ Festivals
→ Healing spaces
→ Private group events
These are structured experiences where I guide participants through a full arc:
Arrive → Tune In → Build Rhythm → Enter Flow → Express → Release → Integrate
The focus is not performance or choreography.
It is creating a space where people can safely feel, express, and move what is present in their body.
1:1 Embodiment Sessions
This is where the work becomes personal.
In private sessions, I teach you how to build your own relationship with your body and your intuitive movement practice.
We focus on:
→ Learning how to attune inward and
feel what your body is carrying
→ Understanding your emotional patterns through direct experience, not analysis
→ Releasing fear around being seen,
judged, or “doing it wrong”
→ Developing rhythm and learning
how to sync with music
→ Accessing flow and trance states
through movement
Each session is a mix of conversation, processing
and embodied practice.
We start with what is present for you, then work directly with the body to move, process, and release it.
For many people, this becomes an ongoing container where we build capacity over time and deepen your ability to trust yourself.
Real-World Integration
(Dance Floor Support)
If we are in the same location, I also offer a more immersive version of this work.
We work together one-on-one,
then attend ecstatic dance together.
This allows me to support you in real time as you:
→ Stay connected to your body in a live environment
→ Move through resistance or self-consciousness
→ Build and maintain rhythm
→ Safely access deeper expression and trance states
This bridge between private practice and real-world experience is where the work often clicks.
You’re not left to figure it out alone.
If you’re looking for:
→ A deeper connection with your body
→ A way to process emotion without overthinking
→ Support in moving out of self-consciousness and into expression
→ A guided path into flow, rhythm, and intuitive movement
I’d love to connect!
